In one of our most intensive and technically challenging assignments, WP Welding was a key partner to SCA in the Expansion Obbola project – a major industrial project outside Umeå. The goal was to build a new recycled fiber line to double the production capacity of recycled paper for SCA’s new paper machine.

We joined the project’s final phase in November 2022 and had up to 80 personnel from various disciplines on site during the execution. The work was carried out in an existing facility, simultaneously with parts of the factory still in operation – demanding high levels of planning, safety, and flexibility.
